New York Renews rally in Albany

On January 22nd 2025, TTPW joins NY Renews for a massive day of action in Albany to demand that Governor Hochul and the legislature fund climate justice for New York in this year’s budget.

Climate justice isn’t just about our fossil-fueled extreme weather and creeping pollution, it also addresses unaffordable housing and income inequality (higher than any other state). TTPW is one of over 400 local organizations in the NY Renews Coalition, which seeks to address these crises head on through our Fund Climate Campaign.

The Fund Climate investment plan puts communities at the center of a growth-focused transition that will improve living conditions and uphold the promise of New York’s Climate Law. Federal decision-makers are seeking to remove environmental protections for New York residents, so our Fund Climate campaign is going on the offense to establish a strong, clear vision for progress by demonstrating that climate justice legislation can be implemented by the people, for the people.
