Recycling and Plastic Reduction School Presentations

TTPW Youth Activists, Edna Keeney-Bailey and Isaac Graubard, give presentation at South Salem Elementary School

On September 20 2024, TTPW Youth Activists debut their Port Recycle ‘em music video and give student-composed slideshow presentations in all five of Port Washington's elementary schools.

The informative presentations were a huge success and the students were captivated by the video – many dancing and clapping along! Thanks to our hardworking talented Youth Activists, Transition Town Port Washington was able to educate over 2,330 children in the importance of recycling and single-use plastic reduction, and how to properly do both. We hope this will help usher in a successful year of the new district-wide recycling program our Youth Activists advocated so passionately for.
